The Catherine Eddowes brings an independent spirit to the Square Mile. A proper pub with Victorian character, an extraordinary choice behind the bar and a name rooted in the streets around us.
We exist to bring the best beers, wines, spirits and cocktails to the City of London. Our independence gives us the freedom to choose what we serve, seek out exceptional producers and put quality at the heart of the pub.
Join us for a pint after work, a favourite cocktail or an evening catching up with friends. You bring the company. We’ll look after the drinks.
Bring the office together for Christmas drinks at The Catherine Eddowes. Book a table, enquire about a private space or make the whole pub yours.
Book Your PartyNine cask beers and eighteen keg beers pour daily at The Catherine Eddowes, bringing together British brewing at its best and discoveries from further afield.
Our changing selection makes room for familiar favourites and something you haven’t tried before. Tell us what you enjoy and we’ll help you find a beer you’ll be glad you ordered.

Our pub is named in honour of Catherine Eddowes, known as Kate, who was murdered outside here on Mitre Square on 30 September 1888.
A mother, a sister and a woman with a life of her own, Kate deserves to be remembered. By putting her name above our door, we give her a lasting place in the everyday life of the City.
Remembering KateOur team at The Clement Attlee are ready to welcome you to enjoy outstanding food and drink in Limehouse. Please book your table below.

We’re Martin Hayes and Peter Slezak. Martin was born and bred in Pimlico, and we met at school in Battersea when we were eleven. Thirty-five years later, we’re still friends, and the pub business we founded together is still proudly independent.
Our story in pubs began with CASK Pub and Kitchen, which opened in Pimlico in the summer of 2009. In 2011, we established The Craft Beer Co., a family-owned and operated business built around a shared belief: London deserves proper pubs, full of character, serving drinks worth seeking out.
London is where our story began. The Catherine Eddowes is its next chapter.
We take our pubs personally. We choose what goes behind the bar and champion producers we believe in. Hospitality and good service are at the heart of it all: a warm welcome and people who take pride in looking after you. Our independence gives us the freedom to do things our way, and our family ownership gives us a very personal reason to care.
When you visit The Catherine Eddowes, you’re supporting a business built on 35 years of friendship, with roots in this city and people behind it who are proud to call it their own.
